Possibility of creating infinite loops that you own

By kanban loop we mean the management of 1 item code between a supplier and 1 customer (point of use) regardless of whether it is internal to the plant (production / handling kanban) or external (purchase / sale kanban).
A loop is sized on the basis of various parameters (Lead Time, Consumption, Quantity per container, etc.): this means that the number of containers / tags in circulation between the supplier and customer for that item is calculated in advance.
A loop is always displayed in a single line within the KanbanBoard.

The internal loops (production / handling kanban) are obviously owned by the company.
Instead, the loops involving an external partner (external supplier or an external customer) are owned by the company that initially created them. This company will also be solely responsible for maintaining the loops over time.

Let’s see an example where the customer is the owner to better understand:

  • the customer (ACME carpentry) is already subscribed to KanbanRocket in the cloud where he collaborates with some of its suppliers

The customer (ACME carpentry) intends to request a kanban procurement service from a new supplier (Tyrell Corp), who accepts and registers with a FREE license.
After connecting in KanbanRocket, the partners decide to start the relationship from the loop for the cod. XY – M4 20mm screw.
The customer (ACME carpentry) creates the loop, and so becomes the owner. The loop is counted within the customer’s license (ACME carpentry).
Conversely, it could have happened that:

  • the supplier (Tyrell Corp) is already subscribed to KanbanRocket in the cloud where he collaborates with its most important customers

The supplier (Tyrell Corp) intends to start offering supplies with the Kanban service to some new customers in order to offer a “turnkey” service with greater added value and retain them.
The supplier (Tyrell Corp) intends to invite a new customer (ACME carpentry), who accepts and registers with the FREE license.
After connecting in KanbanRocket, the partners decide to start the relationship from the loop for the cod. XY – M4 20mm screw.
The supplier (Tyrell Corp) creates the loop, and then becomes the owner. The loop is counted within the license of the supplier (Tyrell Corp)

 

The subscription price varies based on:

  • the type of license (BASIC or PREMIUM)
  • the number of kanban loops you own

The BASIC and PREMIUM licenses already include a basic package of 100 proprietary loops.
It is possible to purchase any additional packages of loops at very affordable rates with a scale of prices decreasing as the total number of loops increases. This way a loop can cost you a few cents of €.
